Licensed or registered?
Illinois has two kinds of CPA.
A licensed CPA can perform every accountancy activity, including signing audit reports. A registered CPA holds the CPA certificate and may use the title, but under the Illinois Public Accounting Act may not sign audit reports. IDFPR stopped accepting new registrations in 2012. We label every listing so you can see which one you are hiring.
